Wellsprings
Wellsprings Online
Wellsprings, a quarterly journal of Jewish thought, explores a wide range of issues of interest and concern to Jewish readers.

Drawing specifically upon Chabad Chasidic ideas, the journal strives to uncover the inner meaning of Torah as it relates to the here and now. In the process, disparate worlds are bridged and hidden bonds are uncovered in the relationships of past and present, sacred and mundane, spiritual and physical.

Features, essays, dialogues and book reviews that examine a whole range of topics through the aperture of Chasidism offer readers a new perspective on many an issue: obligation vs. inspiration in spiritual service; individual expression within the traditional Jewish community; the woman Chasid; the role of creative thinking in Jewish education; the impact on children born through the new reproductive technologies; sacred studies in secular settings; contemplative prayer in 20th century; Kafka's frustrated search for redemption . . . and much more. Through these and more, Wellsprings offers readers a glimpse of humanity's progress toward the fulfillment of the Divine purpose, and considers possibilities for our participation in its achievement. Life in all its particulars is thus imbued with purpose, allowing for a new dimension in the Jewish experience.

Over the years Wellsprings has succeeded in developing a following of readers from across the Jewish spectrum. The journal's writers, men and women, many of whom have traveled along their own circuitous paths to Judaism, are intimately familiar with the questions, issues and conflicts of interest to readers.
